• Question: Do you have to wear protective gear and if so what ?

      Yes, in varying degrees. Normally it’s just the usual lab coat (white coat), lab specs (plastic glasses) and gloves (i found this image on google)

      Sometimes, if I’m doing work outside or in really large doses, I have to get dressed up in a full chemical protective suits, made of trousers and top of a special chemical-resistant material, rubber gloves, rubber boots and a gas mask. I look a bit like this person here:

      On really rare occasions (only for training for emergencies really) I have to put breathing air canisters, like SCUBA gear, on, and get dressed in a ridiculous ‘gas-tight’ suit. Like the things in Monsters Inc.

      It’s good fun, though!
