• Question: How strong is the gravity on Mars, is it stronger or weaker than Earth

      gravity is related to how much mass something has. So Mars, being smaller than Earth, has less mass, and therefore gravity is not as strong.

      Mars actually isn’t that much bigger than the moon, so the gravity is pretty weak there. That’s pretty handy, because it means that if we send people there in a spaceship, it won’t have to look like a Saturn V rocket when it arrives to be able to get them back to earth. Getting astronauts home is always much harder than getting them somewhere else.
