      There’s two ways gas can kill you: if it’s a poisonous gas like carbon monoxide or chlorine, it will do horrible things to your body just like a poison that you touch or eat, and that makes your body shut down which kills you. The other way that gas can kill you is by displacement – if a room fills up with nitrogen (which isn’t poisonous, and actually makes up 78% of the air normally), there’ll eventually be no oxygen left, and you’ll suffocate. Either way, not much fun.

      it replaces the oxygen which you need to live.
