I don’t think I’ve ever done anything where I didn’t want to quit at least once: even scientists have bad days. When the experiment isn’t working, or I can’t get the lasers aligned, it’s a pretty annoying job. When the experiment is working, and the lasers are making pictures, it’s a pretty cool job. My mum told me when I was ten that if I feel like quitting, I should soldier on for six weeks, and then make a proper decision. Most of the time, six weeks is long enough to remember why you’re doing it, and then you don’t want to quit anymore.

I have but it passes as i have an internal drive to succeed and believe that the work i am doing is helping people. I make diagnostic tests for doctors to make better decisions in selecting treatments for their patients helping them get better quicker.
