• Question: who discovered cells and when was it discovered?

      I don’t know, but I do know that they’re called cells because they look a bit like the rooms that monks and nuns sleep in, which have been called cells since before cells were discovered. Isn’t that weird?

      Robert Hooke was the person who discovered them in 1665. he was a pretty good drawer too as he had to hand draw what he saw down the microscope!
