Your ears are full of a fluid which helps you understand which way up you are! When you spin around, it takes longer for your ear fluid to stop than it takes you to stop, so your brain can’t figure out if you’re standing still or not

What Jayne said. Bonus tip: you can tell if an egg has been hard boiled by spinning it around, then stopping it by gently touching it with a finger and letting go. If the egg is still raw then it will be fluid and still spinning like the fluid in your ear, so the egg will start to spin again. If it’s cooked, the whole thing stops when you touch it with your finger and it won’t start to spin again.
